Study of Anti-Stripping Measures to Improve the Adhesion of Asphalt to Granite Aggregates

Granite is very widely distributed in the world, but granite an acidic aggregate with poor adhesion to asphalt. In untreated asphalt mixtures, pavement water damage and loose disease are more prominent, affecting service life of level. Enhancing road performance mixture generally improves properties granite. Qingchuan rock asphalt, anti-stripping agent KH5, aliphatic amine AJ-1 two groups composite agents were used modify analyze effect different on improvement asphalt-granite based surface free energy (SFE) theory. Second, rheological analyzed by tests, modification was evaluated Marshall tests. The aging simulated thermal oxygen aging, durability investigated comparing mixtures before after aging. results showed that can effectively enhance high-temperature stability anti-aging mixes, low temperature relatively poor. KH5 make up for lack mixes decreases All five improve granite-asphalt some extent. Considering effect, order is: KH/RAMA > AJ/RAMA RAMA KHMA AJMA.
